Biography

David Rubio has been in the computer industry for over 30 years. He has both a Bachelor's degree (Cal Poly) and Masters degree (UCLA) in Computer Science. He worked as a software engineer at Rockwell International on Flight Control simulations for the Space Shuttle. He was also a kernel software engineer at AT&T Bell Labs working on the design and implementation of a real-time micro-kernel operating system to drive their PBX systems.

David later moved into training and developed his own UNIX and C Programming courses which he taught through his own company to corporate customers that included Digital Equipment Corporation and Texas Instruments. He performed training for Sun Microsystems for 12 years as an independent contractor teaching their advanced classes which included Solaris 10 Internals, Kernel Crash Dump Analysis, System Interface Programming, Multithreaded Applications Programming, and finally DTrace. David actually authored Sun's course on DTrace (SA-327-S10).

David joined Forsythe in October 2007 and has created courses on DTrace and Zones. He has helped setup the Forsythe Sun Team's state of the art lab to be used in proof of concept demonstrations.

David lives in Boulder, Colorado with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys hiking and reading.
